We executed Stage 1A of the Stockyards Borefield re-establishment for FMG at the Solomon site. The project focused on re-equipping the existing borefield to abstract water for site supply, involving the installation of a new high-pressure pump station and associated HDPE pipelines. Works spanned multiple areas, including the Turkeys Nest storage facility, the 17M Dam, and the Raw Water Break Tank, requiring precise integration with existing gravity mains and infrastructure. Our team managed the civil and mechanical scope, constructing equipment pads and unlined flushing bunds to support the new pump station. We installed HDPE pipelines in various diameters, executing active and passive tie-ins to existing infrastructure at the Firetail and Break Tank areas. The approach included excavating and reinstating the Turkeys Nest embankment, installing concrete suction supports, and laying buried electrical conduits. We also constructed access tracks and vehicle ramps at the 17M Dam, ensuring proper drainage profiling and protection for the new pipeline routes before commissioning.
