We executed the initial site preparation and civil works for the Solomon Airport Solar Hub, a key component of Fortescue's renewable energy generation strategy in the Pilbara. The project involved establishing the foundational infrastructure required for large-scale photovoltaic arrays and battery storage systems, transforming raw land into a construction-ready environment. Our scope encompassed extensive clearing and topsoil management, followed by bulk earthworks to create level pads for solar arrays, laydown areas, and equipment foundations. We constructed internal and perimeter access roads, installed a series of drainage culverts, and erected perimeter fencing. The works also included specific civil elements such as water course embankments, test pile extraction, and the preparation of pads for power conversion systems and battery energy storage systems, ensuring all surfaces met the required specifications for subsequent installation phases.
