We executed the abstraction restart package for Rio Tinto Iron Ore at the Silvergrass East and Nammuldi sites in the Pilbara region. The works focused on re-establishing dewatering capabilities to support below-water-table mining and maintain supply to existing consumers. This involved integrating new infrastructure with existing operational assets within a busy, active mining environment. Our team installed five new submersible bore pumps and associated vertical submersible pump trailers, connecting them to the existing dewatering header network. We constructed the SGE Consumer Pipeline, the Pit 2 Discharge Pipeline with dispersion outlets, and the Nammuldi Below Water Table Supply Pipeline. The scope included extensive earthworks, excavation, and backfilling, alongside the fabrication and installation of structural steel supports and concrete foundations. We managed the supply and installation of HDPE piping, valves, and electrical control panels, ensuring all works were completed safely around live autonomous haulage zones and operating plant.
