We completed the Queens North Bulk Main Realignment for FMG at the Solomon mine site, located north of Tom Price. The project involved installing a new HDPE bulk water pipeline alignment around the northern section of the mine to facilitate ongoing extraction activities. This work required careful coordination with existing infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted water management operations while accommodating new mining areas. Our team executed a comprehensive scope including site clearing, earthworks, and pipeline installation. We constructed access tracks and pressure relief bunds, then installed and poly-welded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes in various sizes. The process included decommissioning and removing redundant buried pipework, relocating pressure valves and flowmeters, and installing numerous pipe crossings under creeks and roads. We managed both passive and active tie-ins to the existing network, followed by flushing, hydrostatic testing, and commissioning to ensure the system was ready for handover.
