We executed a multi-package dewatering and water supply project for FMG at the Cloudbreak site in the Pilbara. The scope encompassed the Norfolk South Abstraction Borefield Phase 3, which involved installing new abstraction bores and connecting them to the existing bulk main to support mining operations. Additionally, we completed pipeline works for the CV10 Construction Water Supply and West 2 TP Conveyor Burials packages, requiring precise integration with existing site infrastructure. Our approach combined extensive earthworks with complex mechanical installation. We cleared and graded access tracks, constructed bore pads, and installed a network of HDPE pipelines in various diameters. Key activities included stringing and welding large-diameter pipes, executing multiple tie-ins to live services, and burying pipelines beneath conveyor crossings and roads. We installed submersible pump sets, VSD skids, and generator systems, followed by rigorous flushing, hydrostatic testing, and commissioning to ensure operational readiness.
Key Deliverables
- Installation of five new abstraction bores with associated pump and electrical infrastructure
- Construction of HDPE pipeline networks for dewatering and construction water supply
- Pipeline burials beneath conveyor crossings and low-voltage roads
- Execution of active and passive tie-ins to existing bulk mains
- Earthworks including clearing, grading, and bore pad construction
- Commissioning, flushing, and hydrostatic testing of pipeline systems
