We delivered civil and drainage works at the Ken's Bore mine site, part of MRL’s Onslow Iron Project located approximately 150km east of Onslow. The scope involved installing a steel multi-plate arch tunnel to facilitate mine traffic, alongside a comprehensive network of culverts to manage site drainage and protect infrastructure under haul roads. Our team excavated trenches and prepared foundations for a range of corrugated steel pipes, reinforced concrete pipes, and box culverts. We installed cast-in-situ and precast headwalls and aprons, applying rock pitching where required for erosion control. For the tunnel, we constructed concrete footings, set base channels, and assembled the steel arch structure before backfilling. This work ensured robust water management and safe passage for heavy vehicles across the developing mine site.
