Our team executed the early works package for underground services at the Kemerton Strategic Industrial Area, supporting the expansion of the lithium hydroxide plant. The scope covered the Northern Laydown and Eastern Carpark zones, requiring precise coordination of civil earthworks, electrical infrastructure, and piping systems to facilitate subsequent construction phases. We performed mechanical trench excavation and backfilling across multiple sections, varying in width and depth to accommodate different service types. This included the relocation of high-voltage cables under concrete slabs and the installation of fire water piping using butt-welded polyethylene pipes. Our approach involved clearing and grubbing, bulk earthworks for pads, and the installation of drainage systems. We managed the interface between underground utilities and surface structures, ensuring all services were correctly set out, bedded, and protected during the construction of adjacent facilities.

Key Deliverables

  • Mechanical trench excavation and backfilling across multiple service sections
  • Relocation of high-voltage cables with concrete slab protection
  • Installation of buried fire water piping using butt-welded polyethylene pipes
  • Clearing, grubbing, and bulk earthworks for laydown and carpark pads
  • Installation of underground medium voltage cables, earthing, and fibre optic conduits
  • Construction of drainage systems and associated civil works
