We executed civil works for FMG’s Far West Hub project at the Cloudbreak mine site, supporting the installation of a new overland conveyor and crushing hub. The scope covered approximately 10.4 kilometres of detailed earthworks along the conveyor alignment, including the construction of a heavy vehicle overpass tunnel and ten banks of corrugated steel pipe culverts. We also prepared foundations for the primary crushing pad and associated discharge conveyor. Our approach involved precise survey set-out, excavation, and installation of concrete footings for the steel arch tunnel. We installed the corrugated steel pipe culverts with associated scour protection and rock pitching, then backfilled and compacted the earthworks to final levels. Along the conveyor route, we formed maintenance tracks and sheeted the ground to finished levels, ensuring the site was ready for subsequent mechanical installations.
