We executed final civil and earthworks for the Christmas Creek Hall Hub Development Project, a key component of Fortescue’s iron ore operations. The scope focused on site preparation and infrastructure support for the new primary crushing plant and its connection to the existing processing facility via an overland conveyor. Our works ensured the site was ready for handover, addressing drainage, road maintenance, and structural protection needs across multiple zones including the western and eastern abutments. Our approach involved a mix of heavy earthmoving and precise civil construction. We prepared earthen pads for office facilities and installed light vehicle car parks. Critical drainage works included excavating channels to manage water flow and installing culverts. We also performed rock pitching and footing protection to prevent erosion around conveyor trestles and abutments. Additional tasks covered road re-sheeting, shoulder maintenance, installation of pedestrian walkways, and placement of safety barriers and bollards. We managed vegetation and topsoil, widened roads, and formed conveyor alignments, ensuring all works met the specific technical requirements of the site.
