This project involved the civil construction of a new 80 ML storage dam at the Broome North Wastewater Treatment Plant. The works were required to increase treated water storage capacity and accommodate diverted flows from the decommissioned Broome South facility. Our scope included the full earthworks, lining, and concrete structures necessary to integrate the new dam with the existing site infrastructure. We managed the construction from initial clearing and excavation through to final commissioning. Key activities included shaping the embankments, installing the geosynthetic liner system, and constructing the concrete spillway and stilling basin. We also installed interconnecting pipework, valves, and perimeter fencing, while modifying the existing Storage Dam No. 1 with new containment kerbs and decommissioning its old spillway.
