TCD Civil Construction executed internal roadworks and drainage infrastructure at the Albemarle Kemerton Plant, located in the Kemerton Strategic Industrial Area south of Perth. The project spanned multiple stages, requiring the construction of plant roads, hardstands, and associated drainage systems to support the lithium hydroxide production facility. Our scope included bulk earthworks, traffic facilities, and support works, alongside specific civil, electrical, and mechanical installations such as concrete substations, switchrooms, and truck wheel washes. Our approach involved coordinated earthworks and concrete construction to establish the road network and drainage pathways. We installed underground services, including cable pits and conduit systems, ensuring proper integration with existing site infrastructure. The works required precise set-out and compaction of fill materials, along with the construction of concrete surrounds for bollards and hydrants to maintain pavement integrity. We also managed the installation of siphonic drainage outlets and soak wells, utilizing precast pits and rock pitching for erosion protection. The project demanded careful sequencing to accommodate ongoing plant operations and commissioning activities.
