TCD were engaged by FMG to prepare the HAY15 area for upcoming mining operations. This involved the construction of a dewatering system, which worked in tandem with saline injection bores and transfer ponds, allowing mining operations to take place. Works completed through the course of this project utilised the array of knowledge and experience that TCD has to offer in the Civil Construction industry. The scope of works included:
- Construction of earthen pads, pipeline burials, flushing bunds and access ramps.
- HDPE pipe works ranging between DN250 – DN560 and PN6.3 – PN16.
- Installation of DN355 PN12.5 down pit wall face at 15m elevation.
- Turret and float installation for suction lines.
- Installation of valves, tees, flowmeters, float valves, air valves, level transmitters and pressure relief valves with all associated ancillaries.
- Installation of and commissioning of pumps, generators and fuel pods to facilitate the mining operations.
- Rehabilitation of surrounding area.
- Commissioning and testing of HDPE mainline, discharge and suction lines.
